Gary VothAs director, Rich Media Group within Microsoftıs Business Platforms and Strategy division, Gary Voth is responsible for helping to develop imaging industry strategies and for evangelism to the professional photographic community. Gary is a 9-year Microsoft veteran, who led worldwide business development and marketing for Microsoft SQL Server in its early years and was instrumental in helping Microsoft develop its server application business model. Gary also created key developer initiatives around the Digital Nervous System concept and is listed as a contributor to Bill Gatesı last book, Business at the Speed of Thought. Gary left Microsoft in 1998 to pursue personal interests (including photography) and returned in his current role in 2003. Gary is also a successful photojournalist and corporate photographer who, prior to entering the software industry, built his photographic career at the San Bernardino Sun, the Everett, WA Herald, and at USA Today. Gary returned to photography in 2000 and created a successful freelance business specializing in editorial portraiture, corporate photo illustration, travel, and lifestyle photography using digital technologies.
