Gene Gable

Gene Gable has spent over 25 years in the publishing and graphic arts fields and has spoken at industry events throughout the world. After a decade in typesetting and design services, he chronicled the desktop-publishing revolution from his post as a journalist and as publisher of Publish magazine. He served on the board of PCWorld and PC Games magazines and was earlier publisher of Sporting Times Magazine. As president of Seybold Seminars and Publications, he lead all conference, trade-show and publishing operations during the disruptive era of Web vs. print publishing. He is a contributing editor to Creativepro.com and has written extensively on the graphic arts for Print, U&lc, ID Magazine and many others. He is currently working on a series of new events for International Data Group that will launch in 2005 and focus on the intersection of the creative arts, automated publishing technology, and the new realities of consumer marketing.
